Kyle + Jen Wedding

Kyle and Jen were married on June 22nd, 2019 at Willow Creek Farms in Urbana, IL. I couldn't believe that their day had arrived as it felt like just yesterday we were taking their engagement photos! This sweet couple truly personalized their special day and made it authentic to them. The wedding was a more intimate affair (my absolute favorite), with 85 of their closest friends and family members there. All week the forecast was indicating rain on their special day, but the clouds cleared for them and the weather was absolutely perfect.

We started off the day with getting ready photos of Jen and her bridesmaids. She had gifted them these gorgeous blush robes and personalized wine tumblers. Jen's dress was absolutely stunning and was a gorgeous gown from BHLDN. When she put it on, it truly took everyone's breath away. It looked like it was made for her. The shoes she had picked out had these beautiful floral details on them. She looked incredible!

Once we arrived at Willow Creek, Kyle and Jen had their first look and privately exchanged their vows to each other (so romantic!). I couldn't help but tear up when I saw Kyle's reaction to how beautiful Jen looked. They had a wedding party of 5 of their closest friends and family members. They were such a fun group who were down to have some fun with the bridal party portraits! My favorite shots? The shots with the old time cars that Willow Creek had on site.

The ceremony was inside the stables at Willow Creek and was filled with so many special moments- like when Jen's dad pulled out her guitar and sang to her Tom Petty's song, "Wildflowers." Jen's family is incredibly musically talented. They grew up playing instruments and even play in a band together. I love how they were able to incorporate their family's love for music throughout the day. At the reception, the party was on! Kyle and Jen have a love for karaoke and essentially turned their reception into one big karaoke bash. On their first date, the two of them sang karaoke. Specifically, they sang the beloved Beach Boys song, "Wouldn't It Be Nice" and they sang the song once again at the reception! Such a special moment. Guests were able to request songs and sign up to sing. It was such a blast watching everyone bust out their tunes and best dance moves.

I had such a wonderful experience working with Kyle and Jen. I knew from our first meeting that they were salt of the earth people who were so special. You can feel the way that they love another and have this natural chemistry that is indescribable. I am so happy that they found another and know that they will live such a happy and loving life together. Congratulations, Kyle and Jen! I feel so blessed and honored to have had the chance to work with the two of you.
