Birdie's Newborn Session

Last year, I photographed Devin and Caroline's engagement photos. It felt like just yesterday! So when they reached out to me to photograph their newborn daughter Birdie's photos, I was elated! But due to COVID-19, we had a little bit of a delay. Birdie was born 8 days prior to the Illinois mandated stay at home order. Her parents were thrown into parenthood in the middle of a pandemic.

Despite the delay, we still made the session happen. Outdoors. Safely in the arms of her loving parents. We met at the U of I Arboretum and had an incredible session together. So many of these shots were just natural interactions between the three of them. Which is my favorite way to capture moments! You could feel their love. And Birdie was so awake and alert throughout the entire hour- her gorgeous blue eyes radiating. She couldn't stop smiling at her parents. It was such a joy to capture this amazing family! Welcome to the world, Birdie! You are so lucky to have such incredible parents like yours.
