Elizabeth + Tony Wedding

Elizabeth and Tony were married on May 30th, 2020. Originally, the wonderful couple had planned to have a large wedding at Bluestem Hall in Urbana. Unfortunately, because of COVID-19, they were forced to adjust their plans. It was still important for Elizabeth and Tony to get married no matter what on that date. So along with their closest friends and family, they were married outdoors at Tony's grandparents home. Despite the changes, I loved this stripped down wedding. It wasn't about the flowers, or the bridal party, or the music, or the food - it was just about Elizabeth and Tony saying "yes" to one another for the rest of their lives. It felt natural and authentic to who they are as a couple.

We met prior to their ceremony at Bluestem Hall just to do their first look there and their portraits. I've mentioned this before... but Bluestem Hall is my FAVORITE place to shoot. It is so heavenly and peaceful. Wide open prairie, the industrial chic building, gorgeous lighting... you can't ask for a better place to be. When Elizabeth and Tony did their first look, both of their eyes lit up. Those were some of my favorite captures from the day.

One of their close family friends married them in Tony's grandparents backyard. Across the street they had a tailgate of viewers with signs who were showing their support from a distance and friends drove by. Even though it was a smaller ceremony, they were not short of love and support from their loved ones.They also live streamed their wedding on Facebook for all their family and friends to watch who could not be present! One of Elizabeth and Tony's favorite things in the world is Disney. So I love how they found ways to incorporate some Disney magic into their day! And Elizabeth had on these amazingggg sparkly pink shoes underneath her dress. Which were absolutely adorable. The entire day felt... well... magical!

This December, Elizabeth and Tony will have a reception for their wedding at Bluestem Hall. So we will get to celebrate once again! Congratulations, Elizabeth and Tony! I feel so honored to have been your photographer.
