Robyn + Steven Wedding

It has been a BUSY wedding season! But it has been so incredibly rewarding. Photographing Robyn and Steven's wedding was one of my absolute favorite days! Robyn and Steven are two of the kindest, hilarious, and most genuine people you could ever meet. They were truly made for one another. Robyn and Steven were married on September 21st, 2019 (cue "September" by Earth Wind and Fire!) at Mackinaw Valley Winery. I had never been to the winery before, so when Christine (my second shooter) and I pulled up my mouth dropped. It was SO picturesque and so beautiful. Even though the overcast wasn't ideal with the rain, I knew it was going to create the perfect lighting for pictures.

There were so many parts of Robyn and Steven's wedding that I loved- especially how intimate and special their bridal party felt. It truly consisted of a group of people that would do anything for the couple. They had me cracking up and laughing throughout the entire day. It was like hanging out with a group of close friends. Steven's uncles officiated the wedding and it all felt so intimate and true to who they are as a couple. The vineyard itself made for a gorgeous background. The greenery, vines, and rows of grapes were absolutely stunning. Plus- so many fun shots with wine! :)

Their reception took place at the Double Tree Hotel in Bloomington. I loved the classic black and white colors that they utilized for their decor. The entire reception felt like one big party! After the speeches and dinner, Robyn and Steven went from table to table and played games with their guests. They even played one giant game of "Thunderstruck" (a hilarious drinking game) with their guests. There were so many special moments and memories.

What I loved most about the day though was just how authentically in love Robyn and Steven are. You could see it in the way Steven looked at Robyn when she walked down the aisle. Or the special embroidery Robyn had done underneath her wedding dress as an ode to their love. Or when they took a special moment after their ceremony for just the two of them. They love one another and that love was showcased throughout the entire day. I feel so blessed to have had the chance to photograph this beautiful couple and be a part of their special day. Congratulations, Robyn and Steven!
