Elizabeth + Carlos Engagement
It was a FRIGID day in December and had just recently snowed. Much colder than normal. But despite the freezing temperatures, Elizabeth and Carlos walked into Aroma Cafe (the first stop on the engagement session list) with big smiles on their faces. That energy and positivity was felt throughout our entire session and made for SUCH a fun day!
Elizabeth and Carlos held their first date at Aroma Cafe... so... it only seemed natural that we capture them there! I loved how open they were to my photo ideas and trying out new concepts. I can always tell how much a couple loves one another by how they look at each other. And when Carlos and Elizabeth looked at one another, you could just see how captivated they were and how in love they were. They made one another laugh and had so many genuine moments that I was able to capture. Which makes my job just so easy!
After Aroma Cafe, we headed outside downtown to get some different shots. Elizabeth and Carlos are both PhD students (impressive... right?) at the University of Illinois. So we got a few shots with them in their Illini gear! So cute! After enduring the cold, we decided to end the session with some warmth inside of Barrelhouse 34. The atmosphere made for some super special photos between the lighting, holiday vibes, and Moscow mules that they were sipping on!
I am so excited for their wedding next year and loved spending the day with them. Congratulations, Elizabeth and Carlos! I can't wait to capture your special day!
